Douglas J. Roberts, loving husband of Lisa Vunkannon-Roberts and loving father to Olivia Roberts and Pierce Roberts passed unexpectedly on February 21, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife and children and his parents and sister as well as Lisa's mother and his many friends and colleagues. Doug grew up in Quincy Illinois and never lost the Mid-Western values instilled in him by his mother and father. He excelled at baseball, basketball and soccer before turning his full attention to academics (and his guitar). To that end, he graduated from Southern Illinois University and Nova University Law School. He founded the firm Stearns Roberts Guttentag and was a state wide well known and respected and Florida Board Certified Construction Attorney as well as an avid and talented guitar player.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Doug's funeral service which will commence on Wednesday morning, February 27, 2019 at 11:30 at St. Coleman Catholic Church, 1200 S. Federal Highway, Pompano Beach, where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Evergreen Cemetery.
