

CETTA - Edward Anthony Sr. formerly of Elwood, NY passed peacefully on March 11, 2021, at his son Edward Anthony Cetta Jr's home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on August 26, 1930 in Walton, New York, the son of Gaetano Cetta and Mary DeAngelo.
Edward went on to attend Siena College and later became the Confidential Aid to New York Supreme Court Justice Frank P. DeLuca. Edward served with the U.S Army in Germany during the Korean War. After the war in 1959, he married his sweetheart, Delores Amato, and they settled in East Northport, NY. They celebrated 45 years of marriage before Delores passed in 2004. Delores and Edward had two children, Edward Anthony Cetta Jr. and Doreen Cetta.
Edward Anthony Cetta Sr. cut his first head of hair at age 15 and obtained his license to cut hair in the 1960's. Edward purchased Carles Barbershop in the 1970's and owned the barbershops in the Modell's Shoppers World. Edward later was elected twice to serve in the position of Greenlawn NY Water Commissioner. Edward was also a loyal member and Treasurer of the Huntington Lion's Club.
In addition to his parents, Edward Anthony Cetta Sr. was predeceased by a sister Tess Valada.
Surviving are his son Edward Anthony Cetta Jr.; daughter Doreen Cetta; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held on March 21, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home South. Committal Service will be held on March 21, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens South, 2401 Davie Road, Davie, Florida 33317.
