Ed Peterson, aka "Blue Eyes" was my dad, Steve Kracik's friend.   Mr. Peterson and I shared a birthday, and he made one very memorable for me.  The year I turned 13, Ed sent me a card signed only "Blue Eyes".  The girls at my birthday party all wanted to know who Blues Eyes was.  I never told, but I loved having them think I had a secret admirer.  What a kindness to a new teenager!  I'm 57 now, and it is still one of my favorite memories of my youth.  Mr. Peterson was a good friend to my dad as well as a genuinely kind person. You all have my deepest sympathy.
