Pat, Tony, sorry for your loss, Bonnie was an amazing lady.  I was very fortunate to have met Bonnie and Wes. Pat,  did not know of  your mom passing.  I did not realize so much time has passed since I talked to her on the phone.  I have lots of health issue.  What happened, was she sick? Bonnie and Wes were friends for over 20 years.  I am so glad that I got to visit her at Pat's house in Tamarac, FL.  I was calling her today for her Pork, potato and sauerkraut recipe when I noticed her phone was disconnected.  I will sadly miss her.  We had some great times together. My Grandmother is a big part of who I am.  We spent the majority of my early years 4 -7 together, those where great memories of Mom and Wes.  One of her favorite stories from those years was a time when she was disciplining me for something I did and I looked up at her and said she looked like Rosie Greer.  There I was 6 or 7 comparing my middle aged short white grandmother to a 6'5 300 lbs black professional football player.  Needless to say she wasn't so mad at me after I got hear laughing.       
As I grew older I would only spend the summers with my grandparents.    There were a few summers when Wes would be on his submarine for the whole time and it would be just Mom and me.  We would watch all our favorite TV shows.  I remember she would always have the TV guide sitting next to her cocktail and water.  I grew up watching a lot of soap operas, game shows and detective shows with her. In the summer 1976 we rode out Hurricane Bell together in the trailer.    They evacuated the entire trailer park but she told me we are staying and we would be fine.  Being from Florida she knew more about hurricanes than all those Yankees in Connecticut.  Luckily in 1989 when she was in South Carolina she made it through hurricane Hugo.  That experience changed her view on hurricanes for good.  
I learned a lot from my grandmother over the years.  I will remember her in so many different ways.  When I am cooking grits and eggs, when I am fishing, when I hear a dirty joke, when I am playing cards, when I say something she used to say.  Mom you will be missed but not forgotten.

In memory of my mother Eleanor (Bonnie) Sissler

The pain of losing her is deep but Mom did not want us to grieve at a funeral or send flowers. 

Mom's wish in passing was to be with her beloved husband Wesley again.  I trust her wish came true. I will forever cherish both of their memories.

We were blessed when Mom came to live with us.  We are grateful for the gifts her living brought to us, her silly jokes, the times we laughed, and the times we cried when her brother and sisters passed before her, her enduring love and joy, and of course, the support and advice only a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother can give.  

To her lifelong friends, while her last Christmas card was sent,  remember the good times, the fun times shared with Bonnie and Wesley forever.
