When I didn’t receive a card from Jerry, I know something was wrong and I was sad to find this post. Jerry and I were church buddies sitting together for about 16 years. We always enjoyed good conversation and so many laughs. He was like another dad. I had not seen him for about 10 years since I moved away, but I always enjoyed his Christmas cards. I am a better person because of him and I loved him dearly. His zest for life was second to none as was his devotion to his family. RIP Jerry! Until we meet again. 💙

Well if you didn’t know Jerry before you came to Pine Island, you surely did after. He was a man with multifaceted qualities.  Kind, honorable, talented, an accomplished individual in many ways. And what a sense of humor. He was not afraid to get involved and contributed so much to our Pine Island community in so many ways. He will always be remembered…never forgotten. We will miss you Jerry. You did it “Your Way” !!

I went by the VA a few weeks ago and had a very nice talk with Jerry (Gerard).  He was very alert and responsive.  I am saddened to hear of his passing. He will be remembered by many of his friends, neighbors and fellow entertainers.  RIP my friend, you will be with your sons and wife forever!

Jerry was one of the finest men I ever met in my lifetime. He was intelligent, witty, gracious, humble, and a loving human being. Jerry was respected by everyone who met him. Those of us who lost their own fathers at an early age, adopted him as a surrogate father. Through his many years he gained a great deal of wisdom and experience, and many of us often asked him for his input and advice on important issues. Jerry was an extremely hard-working and active member of the Pine Island Ridge community and an outstanding officer of the Pine Island Ridge Democratic club. We especially appreciated the great and heroic service he rendered to our nation during its darkest hours of World War II. Jerry is beloved by all and will be deeply missed.

I first met Jerry at the Pine Island Ridge Country Club. He carried a presence of charm, wit and elegance. He always  had a mischievous twinkle in his eye along with his endearing smile.  We all looked  forward to Jerry singing his rendition of “My Way” by Frank Sinatra, while wearing his signature top hat. He was truly one of a kind and he  will be missed!

My condolences on Jerry’s passing.

I had known Jerry for over twenty-five years. 

We used to have social gatherings at Tangerine Place where Jerry and his wife would come and socialize with the Tangerine Place residents. 

My friendship with Jerry continued when I moved to Whitehall 1 in April 2004. 

I will miss seeing Jerry around the property and in the office.

More than 16 years ago, when I came to live in Whitehall I, Jerry was one of the first neighbors and individuals to welcome us into the community. 
He was respectful and respected, always making a good joke, and a joy to talk with. He was a gentleman and someone that will be missed.

May his soul rest in peace.
