

2022 surrounded by his loved ones. His family will remember him as a hard-working, selfless, and loving man. The family will have visitation and reflections on July 8, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A celebration of life service will be held the following day, July 9th, at 10 a.m. at St. David’s Church in Davie, Florida. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Italo was born on December 1, 1939, in Torrice, Italy to Gerardo and Luisa (Trasolini)
D’Aversa. Italo moved to Queens, New York in 1962, where he met his wife Lucia (Sementilli)
D’Aversa. They raised their three daughters in Queens until 1980, when they moved to Cooper City, Florida. Italo and Lucia moved to York, South Carolina in 2010, where he resided until he passed. Italo enjoyed cooking traditional Italian meals for his family as well as drinking red wine and his homemade limoncello. Italo spent a great deal of time in his garden and completed projects like building his own greenhouse. For many years, he spent several days of the week bowling on various bowling leagues. Italo attended mass on Sundays at All Saints Catholic Church in Lake Wylie, South Carolina. His most treasured moments were spent with his beloved family and playing with his puppy Piccolina.
Italo is survived by his wife, Lucia (Sementilli) D’Aversa, his three daughters, Adriana D’Aversa, Bernadetta (Oscar) Viveros and Christina D’Aversa, grandchildren Andrew Viveros, Gabriela Viveros, Mia Jeanty, Talia Jeanty, Evan Viveros, Angelica Jeanty, Alessia Evangelisti, Gabriele Evangelisti, Antonio Viveros and Chiara Jeanty, great grandson Luka Puig, brother Raniero D’Aversa, sisters Agnese Montoni and Lidia Scaccia, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Gerardo and Luisa (Trasolini) D”Aversa, brothers Mario D’Aversa, Salvatore D’Aversa, Franco D’Aversa, sister Anita Trasolini and great grandson Ryder Puig.
A visitation for ITALO will be held Friday, July 8, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2401 Southwest 64th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 10:00AM at St. David Catholic Church, 3900 S University Drive, Davie, FL 33328.
