We lived across the street on Lakeside circle.  I watched Joey and Jillian in the mornings before school and walked to the bus stop together along with my children.  Joey was an adorable little boy, so sweet natured.  Jillian was a wonderful big sister and always showed love to Joey.  My children remember "Bella" with one blue and one brown eye.  Great memories of Joe Sr. on the 4th of July with gasoline in the street.  Fond memories of the Gervasi family.
We are saddened to hear of Joey's passing.

Joey was always a fun person to visit with. We have such fond memories of playing together when we were little and he would visit from Florida. My favorite memories are the holidays we got to spend together. Joey always made us feel like family. I will always cherish spending Thanksgiving with him and the family in Chicago. It was a memorable and wonderful time. Or the time you visited and got to say goodbye to my father. We will miss spending time with you Joey, talking and catching up. We Love you and we will miss you.

Joey Gervasi was one of a kind.  I met him at 14 and remained close friends. We bonded over baseball. Joey had a tendency to form close relationships with all his teammates because he was nice to everyone.  Joey was especially very friendly to the ladies because he was a gentleman. 

Joey was a proud Italian.  He loved his whole extended family.  Joey loved all his cousins, aunts & uncles.  Joey loved his dad, may them be together now. Joey loved his dog Harley (sorry Cindy). Joey loved his mom, Susan, dearly. Joey loved his brother in law, Ivan, who was Joey's role model.  Joey loved his sister, Jill,  who was also his best friend.  They would speak on the phone for hours and every call ended with "I love you." Joey also loved being an uncle to Jill and Ivan's children.  May they always remember their uncle Joey. 

May all of Joey's friends and family find peace.  All his family in Florida, New York, Illinois and anywhere else are hurting right now.  The world lost one of the best.

No words, can express the pain, this is beyond sadness.. The love and joy Joey, brought to all he encountered will never be forgotten.

Joey was an amazing person who loved his family deeply. He showed his love through his actions. He led by example. He was a kind, sweet, humble, and overall great young man. We will deeply miss him and love him always.

I can't express how sorry I am . Joey was an amazing person .he loved his sister Jill probably more then anything in life .he was sweet ..caring and just someone you want to be around ..you will be forever missed by us all  love you always
