My name is Brenda and I gave birth to Josh in Feb 1987. I gave him up for adoption because I was too young and poor to care for him. I wanted him to have a better life. We talked several times on the phone and on social media, but never got to hug one another . I was so sad to hear of his passing . I loved you so much Josh! I was praying that you and Sarah would have a baby so I could finally become a grandma. It just wasn't in the cards.

I remember Josh as a little boy entertaining my family on the hearth of our fireplace. Singing, dancing trying to makes us all laugh. Later when he was 12 or 13 challenging me to a one-one basketball game in my drive way. He was a good athlete with lots of confidence. Over the years as an adolescent he had his challenges. My brother, his Dad, put a lot of heart and soul to help Josh get through those years. I am so proud of the man he became and the effect he had on friends, family and people he met and interacted with. Sarah was the blessing for Josh. He blossomed after they met and eventually married. Their life was full of joy, fun and love. They were a team as a couple and at the Nosh on the Bay. My heart aches for Sarah, Tom, Lynda, the Melonakis family, Tim, Sarah Park, Marcus, Matt, and all the people who loved him. Josh made a mark in his short life and will be truly missed. Josh, may all your days where ever  you are be  full of joy and happiness. RIP my sweet nephew.

It’s hard to put into words the kind of sadness that comes with losing someone like Josh Weaver. He wasn’t just a good friend—he was the kind of person who made time feel richer, who turned a shared drink into a shared story, and who brought warmth to every moment spent together. Some of our best memories were made down at Nosh, where the laughter was easy, the conversations deep, and the discovery of a new bourbon or tequila always felt like a small adventure we were lucky enough to share.

Josh had this way of turning simple rituals into meaningful connections. Whether we were comparing tasting notes or just enjoying the silence between two friends who didn’t need to fill every space with words, those times were golden. They still are, in memory.

I wish his family peace—true peace—and one day, happiness again. It’s not easy, and it won’t be quick, but I hope they feel the ripple of all the lives Josh touched, and know that part of him still lives on in the stories we tell, the toasts we raise, and the moments we hold a little tighter because of him.

Josh, you were one of a kind! To seamlessly blend into a big, fat Greek family would have intimidated some, but not you. You just fit right in with the crazy white elephant Christmas eve silliness,  family picnics and the very exclusive TKB events (TappaKeggaBeera Fraternity). We had Sarah giggling at the marshmallow challenge that you initiated with Chad, Bubba and Aiden, to see how many they could fit into their mouths. Quite the instigator on that one! Josh was one of the most genuine people I have ever met, and definitely the funniest. He played a large part in me feeling immediately welcomed into the Melonakis family. From the moment I met him I felt like I had known him my whole life, that’s just the way he was. He could connect with everyone so seamlessly. He brightened up every room he walked into and made every experience fun. I’ll miss the late crazy nights we shared and his laugh and love 🤍

Josh my dude I am honored to be able to call you my brother. I knew the first moment that Sarah introduced you to us that you were gonna be apart of this family. Over the years we had so many fun times together that I will never forget. Oh Josh, how do I even begin? From the first time Sarah introduced us to you I knew you were the one for her, and I love you for loving my daughter. You two were perfect for each other. I have so many memories of family gatherings or times when you and Sarah would plan our days out on the boat…. I will miss that so much. 

You would light up any room and your laugh was the best! Joshua, you were like my own son, and I will cherish every moment I got to spend with you.

Josh, nephew, there just aren’t enough words or words adequate enough to say how amazing you were. You were the light in every room. The fun, the laughter, the joy you brought to everyone who was blessed to know you. I am forever grateful and will cherish all of the wonderful memories I have with you and Sarah. But my favorite memories were when it would be just the three of us hanging out at you and Sarah’s apartment. Just hanging out, laughing, cracking jokes. Those truly were the best of times and I will never forget them.

Josh your energy was always awesome.  If anybody was down feeling bad you had no choice but to perk up and fix your attitude.  Josh was always the life of the party. Always so kind and loving to anyone he came across.  I remember one of the last times we hung out, we had so much fun throwing the football doing our best Peyton Manning impressions!  "Hot route, Hot route"!  I'm in tears as I write this.  You will be missed bro!  Sending my love, prayers and condolences to everyone involved with such a tragic loss.  Rest up Josh!  You are loved! If you wanted to laugh, you invited Josh… anywhere anytime… Since meeting him back in our Colorado days we’ve shared so many great times! His last text to me was a crazy picture of a WWW wrestler that looks like my partner and he’s yelling “Whoooo” and requesting some time together.. we recently went into Nosh to celebrate some dear friends 50th anniversary and the minute we stepped in we were treated like royalty by Josh and Sarah… we’ve never experienced a dinner like that in our lives ! When it was time to leave, Josh gives a BIG hug and says “tonight’s on me… I love you guys.. “

Dear Sarah,
I meant Josh through you. At first meeting of  Josh, I saw  magic between both of you, the Love of your Life. I knew your were true soul mates, Josh was such a sweet happy guy and brought a smile to everyone face. As a mother of daughter's Josh was exactly the type of man any mom would want her daughter to marry. Josh was so kind to alway's answer on FB when checking in on you both  in Florida.

I will never forget the day I met Josh, it was a cousins river rafting trip. We all had so much fun that day! I knew from that day on Josh and Sarah were meant for one another.  People like Josh don't come a dime a dozen. We are so honored to have had the opportunity to make memories with him.  4th of July was always our favorite he sure knew how to light up the sky!  I will always think of him when we go camping and how excited he was to catch his 1st Lake Trout.Cheers to blue mountains!

We loved Josh like Family. He was always a wave across the water and a hello friends with his flash smile. We miss him and he has left an impression with us forever. ❤️Tim and Anita Hakin

Josh was such an amazing friend and was always fun to be around. We would always have a great time together and we were always cracking jokes with each other. Every time we saw each other, we always had to give each other a hug as well as every time we said goodbye. I will miss those hugs.

We would play PS5 on the weekends with each other online and it was always filled with more jokes and more laughter. There  was never a dull moment and I will miss those weekends of gaming with him.

Josh wasn’t only a great person with a heart of gold, he was a great friend and I’m lucky that he was a part of my life and I will remember him forever.

When Josh joined the family it was like he already belonged. He had no nerves and fit right in. Which for our families is……well I don’t know what you want to call it but he was perfect. He was the sweetest most kind person and the best host. If he knew any of us were coming to his house he made sure every single one of us had what we needed to be comfortable and have a good time. Larger than life isn’t enough to describe josh. Remembering him is going to be tough be we all know he would want us to think of all the times he had his smiling and laughing. I love you josh. More than an in law, you were a real brother. I love and miss you bro.

This picture puts a huge smile on my face. We were all just so happy to be in California together. I remember how high energy we all were. Taking in all of those sights. Josh casually making jokes like always. What he didn’t see was how he put permanent smiles on all of our faces throughout the whole trip. Josh was a passionate guy and an amazing person to be around. I am proud to say that I was able to enjoy his company in this lifetime because people like Josh are rare.

The California trip had to be by far one of the best memories I’ve had with the Nosh crew. Looking back at this time this is the last time I saw Josh… he was my favorite manager I’ve ever had. Extremely funny, down to earth, ambitious, & looked at everyone for who they truly were. He is someone that I could always talk to about anything. 

The bond he shared with Sarah is one that most couples strive to have. Their  relationship  was extremely beautiful & looked effortless. My deepest condolences to the weaver family he will be forever missed.

I’m not the best with words, but here goes.

It’s weird. Weird that I’ll be at a family party and he won’t be the first one to greet me.

I always tried to say something just to see if he could catch it through the accent, and to see how hard I could make him laugh.
And of course, I’d blame him for enabling me.

I posted some pictures — all of them show him having fun.
That’s how I’ll remember him.

My brother was always by my side growing up. I loved him dearly. Loved watching him Excell in sports and in life. Always had a smile and was the life at every party. He's going to be missed. Always remember him and all the good he brought into your life. Love you Josh, your loving older brother Tim.

Dave & I met Josh less than 2 weeks after Nosh opened. Although he had not reached the general manager yet, his personality shined like the sunshine. Over the years Josh & Sarah became friends & we loved spending time with them.  We will miss him dearly our hearts are broken & this will be a loss that will be in my heart forever. I had some of my best serving days with the both of you at Spanky's.  We laughed about the craziest things and it felt like I laughed nonstop and time flew by.   Azerbaijan!!!

Dear Lynda , I can’t tell you how sorry I am to hear of Josh’s passing. I remember him at my house with Bobby all the time .He always made me laugh. Such a sweet kid and from what I have read a person who grew up to be a wonderful person . I am so very sorry. I will ALWAYS remember that cute kid . The Coy family ❤️

Mark and I were truly overjoyed when you became part of our family. The love between you and Sarah was undeniable, a bond so deep that it was clear you were meant for each other. Your passing has left us heartbroken, and words cannot express the depth of our sorrow.
