March 21, 1927 – February 19, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and grateful spirits that we announce the passing of our beloved patriarch, Kenneth "Mas Ken" Brown, at the age of 98. A master cabinet maker, devoted Christian, and community leader, Kenneth spent his life building—not just furniture and homes, but a lasting legacy of integrity and love.
From his early days in Jamaica to his years in Brooklyn and Florida, Kenneth was known for his unmatched work ethic and his passion for the land. Whether he was mentoring young carpenters, leading the local PTA, or enjoying a game of cricket, his impact was felt by everyone he met.
His Legacy:
Beloved Husband: Married the love of his life, Sylvia Chin
Father & Mentor: Proud father to 8 children (predeceased by Eugene and Dolton)
Grandfather: Cherished by 24 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren
Craftsman: A proud member of the NYC District Council of Carpenters.
"His work here is complete, but the structures he built—in wood and in people—will stand for generations".
Rest in peace, Papa. Your hands are finally at rest, but your story lives on in us.
