Played guitar in the band FIGMENT who opened for Free Wheel Matts band back in the early 80s... Met him again 3 years ago at a studio in Ft. Lauderdale... We jammed to Aerosmiths Sweet Emotion... He sounded incredible... R.I.P my old friend

I will always remember Matt as one of the most charismatic performers I ever had the pleasure of working with.  He held a very rare level of musical talent and entertainer.  He had a spark that attracted everyone to him.

Met Matt in the '70's. All he wanted to do was sing. Brings me comfort to know he was still singing and happy. Loved him and will miss him. There is an empty space in my heart. Sending love to his family.

Matt brought joy to so many with his music, charisma, warmth and generous personality  Thanks for making a difference and sharing good times.

Matt was a great man with a heart of gold. Rest in peace brother.....
