

Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to Marie Souvenise Elisma and Pierre Monet Saint-Vil, Pierre-Richard lived a life filled with purpose and dedication. He began his education at Frère du Sacré-Coeur Jean XXIII for elementary school and later attended Collège Canado-Haïtien for high school. During his senior year, Pierre-Richard migrated to Spring Valley, New York, where he completed his studies. He continued his education at Rockland Community College, earning an associate degree, and later graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey with a bachelor’s degree in business management and a minor in chemistry.
With a career spanning over 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry, Pierre-Richard made significant contributions as a Chemist and later as a Senior Scientist at Teva Pharmaceuticals, where he worked for 17 years. He will be remembered for his brilliance, dedication, and the mark he left on his field.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Pierre-Richard devoted much of his adult life to enriching the lives of others. He was a passionate supporter and volunteer for several charities close to his heart, including Feeding the Homeless and St. Vincent de Paul. His commitment to serving others was a testament to his generosity and compassion.
Pierre-Richard enjoyed life to the fullest, spending treasured moments with his family and friends. A world traveler, he delighted in exploring beautiful and exotic cities and monuments, often sharing captivating photographs that brought joy and inspiration to those around him.
Pierre-Richard is preceded in death by his mother, Marie Souvenise Elisma, his siblings Marline, Sandra, Sarah and Fedner, his grandmother Maman Titi and his cousin Martine.
He is survived by his father, Pierre Monet, and stepmother, Ketly; siblings Garry, Carline, Carole, Fedna, Musa, and Junie, along with their families; and a large and loving extended family, including his aunts and uncles Marie, Rita, Madeleine, Rémy, Lina, and Heureuse. He also leaves behind countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren, who all held a special place in his heart. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those he touched, including the Saint-Vil, Dauphin, Ernest, Sénat, Destiné, Moore, Elisma, Lebon, Junis, Joseph, Dupiton, and Lindor families.
A visitation for Pierre will be held Friday, April 25, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2401 Southwest 64th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Clement's Catholic Church, 2975 N Andrews Ave, Wilton Manors, FL 33311. A committal service will occur Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1500 S State Rd 7, North Lauderdale, FL 33068.
