Ramona "Rambo" Cruz

Ramona "Rambo" Cruz of Pembroke Pines, Florida passed away peacefully on February 13, 2024. Our beloved Rambo was born on January 15, 1925, in Guayama, Puerto Rico. She relocated from Puerto Rico to Manhattan, NY in 1955 and was widowed 8 years later. Ramona is preceded in death by her parents Alfonso Cruz & Gregoria DeJesus, husband Juan Nepomuceno Gonzalez, Son Jose Gonzalez, grandson Albert Gonzalez and Siblings: Juan, Maria, Bartola and Luis Cruz.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished time with her family and friends. She was a prayer warrior who loved our Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart and soul. Her daily way of life, words of wisdom and instruction were very simple yet profound “love, respect and take care of each other, always ask God to help you and protect you and forgive one another” this is what she instilled in her family, and this is the way we will live in her legacy.

Ramona is survived by her children Lourdes Caldeyro, Emma Vasquez (Juan Vasquez), Reynaldo Gonzalez, Daughter-in-law Nidza Gonzalez. Her brother Tomas Cruz (Juanita Cruz) and a host of nieces and nephews.
