

Robert William “Bob” Boeglin, age 79, of Pompano Beach, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Broward Health Imperial Point Hospital in Fort Lauderdale. At the time of his passing he was in the hearts and minds of those he loved the most.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida, on September 12, 1937, Bob was the son of the late William and Julia (Lawrence) Boeglin. He also knew the love of his adopted parents Louis and Louise Bauer. Raised and educated in Fort Lauderdale. Bob honorably served his country in the United States Navy from 1954-1958. On October 12, 1957 he married his high school sweet heart the former Laura E. Walker with whom he shared 59 years. Bob and Laura began their journey together when they met at the old Florida Theatre in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Bob began his working career as an Architect, later taking a position with Broward County as a Building Inspector, the position from which he retired. His memberships included, the American Institute of Architects and the American Legion Post 142.
Robert is survived by his wife, Laura E. Boeglin; his daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Worthen, Elizabeth and Gary Thompson and Jennifer and Robert Richards; his grandchildren, Stephanie and Jeff Lane, Samantha Orton, Joseph Worthen, Kate Worthen, Robert Richards, Erica Richards and Brandi Richards; his one great grandchild, Taylor Lane; Special Niece and caregiver, Margaret Winters and her husband Michael; also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Donna, Linda, Carol, Debbie, Linda, Susan, Pam, Janet, Robert and Mark. He was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Heisel and his brothers Paul Bauer and Louis Bauer.
Committal services with military honors will take place at 10:30, on Friday, June 2, 2017at South Florida National Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Kraeer-Fairchild Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 4061 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale.
