I knew Mr. Dover through my buddy Tim.  I had the pleasure of visiting him Winter of 1994.  Whilst there Mr. Dover introduced me  a lot of "firsts" in my life. :- 1st boat ride in the US, first time Knee boarding, first time shooting a real gun & a rifle, first time mowing a lawn ! Thank you MR. Dover. RIP

I miss you Babe with every fiber of my being. I saw on your face the last time we Skyped that you didn’t want to leave me, but you were so tired gasping for every breath. You said you just couldn’t do it anymore. You wanted to sleep until it was over. 
You always made me feel so loved and adored. I was so secure in our love for each other. I miss you waking me up each morning and our snuggling together and big hugs. You always took care of me,  Through good and bad, sickness and health til death do us part. 
There was not a selfish bone in your body. 
I have wonderful memories, but they make me so sad knowing we won’t have any more. I don’t know how to live without you. You are my life. I pray God will be merciful, and we will be together soon. I love you so much. Please meet me at Heaven’s Gate. I won’t be long.



I have been trying to sum up in words what to say and the fact is that words just fall short. It is a devastating thing to loose a loved one and no amount of words can alleviate that. Ron is kind, loving, joyful, and always ready to lend a hand. I met him and Beverly at around ten years old at church, would see him every Sunday sing his heart out with the choir and with time our families became close. As the years went by he taught me how to line dance and we would go line dancing once in a while or visit a rodeo as a family, he was always smiling and the perfect cowboy. He loved Beverly so much and there wasn't a time that his love for her and his family wasn't evident. He is dearly missed and has left behind a great void, however, we know that he is happy dancing and smiling in heaven. 

Ron and Beverly have been our neighbors for over 20 years and we have grown very fond of them both.  We are so saddened and shocked that Ron was taken so unexpectedly.  However, we are also comforted and glad to know that he is with our  Lord and enjoying the wonders of heaven.  From the time we first bought the lot next to Ron and Beverly, we quickly connected and considered them friends.  We learned so much from them.  Hearing their experiences in building their house encouraged us countless times.  Ron was a wealth of knowledge and he was always gracious in sharing it and quick to lend a hand.  I often called on Ron for guidance on how to fix or solve something.  We will miss Ron very much and we are proud to call him our neighbor and our friend.  We look forward to seeing him again.  

Ohh God!! My heart melts as I read all the beautiful notes and see Ron & Bev’s family pictures in here... That’s the big smile he always comes to my mind with,  and I’m pretty sure the way everybody remembers him as well!

Since I meet him and Bev @ church several years ago, he’s being always exalting the Lord with his awesome voice, and serving others with his helping hands.. Honor to a well lived life and legacy!! What a great reward is to be remembered by family and friends as a faithful Cristian, loving and dedicated husband, dad, grandpa, and as a helping friend by everyone!! 

He’ll be deeply missed... the void he’s left is huge... but his footsteps will remain in our ❤️ meanwhile the glorious time comes when our Savior Yeshua  (Jesus), will reunite us all again to spend Eternity with Him in perfect Love and Peace🕊

Ron we love and miss you. Meghan and I miss your warm smile and ten gallon hat every Sunday morning for church. Who knew that a simple gesture of a smile and hello at church could endear someone so special into our lives. We cherish your kind friendship developed over our love of Christ. You and Bev taught this young couple who is just embarking on this journey of marriage how a fun and positive relationship can develop to lifetime love and joy.  You will always be in our hearts, we miss you. 

My earliest memories on "Ronnie" go back 60 years and are quite numberless as he was my first boyfriend at thirteen. Just to name a few... his first car, an Opal Kadett which he was very proud of when he took a carload of us to fill-up the tank. I think he spent a whole 30 cents. His construction finesse may have started when he built us a porch swing and installed it with the help of his dad, Doyster, who was also a friend of my mom's. I loved his mother, Opal, and remember wishing she was my own mother. (Sorry Mom).

Leaving for college in New York was the end of many youth group associations but I recall on one trip home in particular, meeting Beverly briefly as he showed off her engagement ring. He was beaming, and while I have only met Beverly one other time, I can certainly see why his grin was so big. How blessed to have had so many years together and how much more painful the memories surely are now without him. I pray that Beverly and those closest to Ron will experience the hand of God on them at this time for He is truly a God who heals all wounds.

Heaven definitely gained a great one New Years Eve. I loved getting to spend some Summers and holidays down in Miami with my grandparents and my amazing Uncle Ron. I would get to sleepover at his and Aunt Bev's house with Laurel, Tim and Tasha (their dog). I always thought their house was so cool because they had a pool and these spikey interior walls. As I got older I would stay at my grandparents and Uncle Ron and Tim would always come over and have dinner. When I got even older, he and Aunt Bev would come up to Marietta and visit with my mom and me. We went to a local western club several times and I always knew I had the coolest dance partner there. He literally taught me how to two step. He will be sorely missed. Xoxo

I met Ron and Beverly several years ago at a neighborhood meeting. Ron was a thoughtful, quiet man. Our conversations mostly centered around his ideas about ways of maintaining a good quality of life for his neighbors and his community. Although a very soft spoken person, he sure could make his opinion known! Ron was the epitome of a true gentleman in every sense of the word - handsome, strong, kind, smart, thoughtful, always giving of himself, a man of true character. And he sure looked good in his cowboy hat! Peace and Grace now for Beverly and Ron’s family.  Ron will be missed by many. 

I remember spending just about every weekend growing up in Miami with Ronnie and Cheryl. We sure had some great times. I first must say that Ronnie was the original Spider-Man. I remember him putting his hands and feet against the walls in the hallway & climbing up and down the hallway and if he could he would be up high and try to surprise you, which he did. He was always full of energy and fun. I was lucky enough to reconnect with him and Cheryl in recent years. Ronnie will be greatly missed by all our family. I pray for comfort for Bev & Cheryl and all his family. We will one day have another family reunion in Heaven. Love you Cuz. 

One of the kindest, smartest, and most loving men I have ever known. So proud to call him my Papa. Growing up I thought he knew everything... even now, I'm still pretty convinced he did. Especially when it came to fixing or building. You were and continue to be one of the most important people in my life, and I miss you so much. I can't wait to sing karaoke with you when I spot you by your cowboy hat in Heaven. I will treasure every memory we had together, especially all of those sleepovers that I had with you and Nama pretty much every weekend growing up. Although I am so sad he is gone, I know that he is *literally* singing with the angels in heaven and loving every moment of it. And he is now with my mom, too. I love you, Papa. See you soon. Ronald Dover's memorial service will be on Zoom on Saturday, 1/23/21 at 4pm. Papa never met a stranger; all who met him loved him instantly, as he was an honest, steadfast man of strong character and integrity. Every time church was open our parents had Ron and I there , our whole life revolved around church.  Our parents were close friends and so were Ron and I. We were at first grade together and high school graduation together.  I remember he was quick to date a new girl that came to church and I remember when he married her, Beverly. I cannot imagine how she feels after such a long time together with Ron. I pray for you daily. Although I have lost touch with Ron we spent many fun times growing up as young Christians in great group of people and I still think about those times very often.

Ron will be remembered by many for the big smile on his face. He was truly a caretaker, I remember him tenderly and happily tending to his mother when she was with him and Bev making sure that she had whatever she needed. He was also very attentive to Beverly whenever she had any physical problems, making sure she was comfortable and had whatever she needed. Whether we were in a crowd or any where I could always spot Ron and Bev because of his cowboy hat. Ron will truly be missed by many. I pray that Beverly, Tim, Kaci, and their families happy memories will give them great comfort as the days and weeks ahead turn into years. God bless ❤️

Dearest Beverly and family, As I reflect back on all the great memories Tom and I have shared you both .... vacations together building our homes together… Weddings together and many dinners as friends… Tom always enjoyed spending time with Ron he was such a pleasure to work with especially after he had his 20 minute power nap !  We will miss Ron very much being a part of our friendship. He is and was such a lovely man that cared so much for his wife ! We watched... and Tom learned from Ron’s example how to care for a woman… Because Ron certainly knew how to do that! Ron has always been such a helpful person and we will always appreciate the mini gifts of kindness he showed to us when we were moving into our home! Thank you Ronnie! There isn’t A kinder man than Ron Dover. Ron could never do enough for Bev he always wanted to make her happy and she was with everything he did for her… I love you Ron we will all miss you thank you for being a part of our life! I am sure that God has got you helping someone else in heaven because that’s the way he made you! You certainly had the gifts of service❤️ I know Beverly loved everything you did and was proud of all your accomplishments… What a wonderful marriage you both adored each other! What a beautiful example you were to so many others... it was our joy to know you Ron and we will miss you❤️!

I remember Ronnie bringing Beverly to meet us.  One of my most prized possessions  is a video Ronnie made for me of the "Cracker Salute" we gave Daddy to end his service. Ron, my “Macgyver” neighbor buddy for 23+ years.  Ron was always there when you needed anything.  He helped me out with AC issues countless times along with many other things and his tool box was always available – no questions asked.  Have a problem? Just ask Ron and he always had an answer! Ron was always a gentleman and it was always a pleasure to give him a helping hand whenever he needed one around the house.  Mr. do it all!  Whether it was working on his truck or Bev’s SUV or painting or redoing his bathroom or doing whatever needed to be done – that was Ron!  How about that Cowboy hat – especially on Karaoke night or Thursday night Roundup.  He had such a low deep singing voice and everybody enjoyed listening to him sing.  We miss you Ron!  The good news is, Ron is in a better place than all of us and we will see him again!  So, until then, Cheers to Ron! 


I was an usher at Church By The Glades (CBG) and always looked forward to Ron and Bev walking into my side of the church to be seated. He was always a gentleman and escorted Bev to her seat, the middle seats in aisle 8. Always a good word for everyone and always smiling, especially after he had his cup of coffee, Ron will be missed by everyone who had the privilege to get to know this amazing couple. I always described Ron as the guy wearing the cowboy hat and everyone immediately knew who I was talking about. I assume Ron has already started wearing his new hat in heaven and I'm sure he's tried to convince God to at least try wearing a cowboy hat. I'll miss you Ron but you're in a better place.

 As I thought about what I want to say I began to cry but I know these tears are not for Ronnie. They are for Cheryl, Bev, their family and me. I found Cheryl on facebook a couple of years ago which brought us all back together after 50 years. I was over joyed to say the least. I was so looking forward to seeing them all again and meeting their families. My Father and Cheryl and Ronnie's Father were brothers. The highlight of my young life was spending summers together. I remember Ronnie as the older Fonzie like motorcycle guy who was sweet and cool. After all that time he hadn't changed a bit except for his now signature cowboy hat. Ronnie's passing has momentarily taken my joy but, while I'm still here, I will continue to look forward to meeting the rest of his family and praise God I will see him again. In this difficult time I am sending me deepest sympathy and love

We had just hooked up for the lst time in a lifetime and was looking forward to a new future getting to know him again. Spent time every summer with him and his sister Cheryl. Loved their mom and dad Doy and Opal like they were my own. Sweet gentle people...the whole family. Got my lst motorcycle from Ronnie... Brought it back from Miami on top of my dads new 62 olds. He taught me and Cathy to play pool and all the early messin w a piano. We would listen to Bro Dave Gardner records and bust a gut laughin. Even tho at times i don t think i got the joke i d pretend i did cause Ronnie did. Out of all my cousins he was the most gentle and down to earth of all. I loved him my whole life and i will miss him a lot. RIP my dear cousin.

I met Ron and Beverly through their agreeing to foster one of the animals in the rescue we volunteer with. I happened to show up one day to take some photos of the pup (Cody) and was met with Ron's smile that could knock you over. They had made lunch for me, not expected, and we sat and chatted over tuna fish and ice tea. I felt immediately at home, with Ron being the perfect gentleman and host. He stood much taller than me while he showed me photos of him and his Dad in the military, telling me about his time, and happened to be very knowledgeable about Glocks which made me very happy since I was new to the gun world. We sat and talked about that, about his country dancing days and he promised me a dance or two at The Roundup once this pandemic was over. Hopefully he'll stick to his promise once we meet again on the dancefloor in the sky :) I hate that I didn't have more time to get to know him. Beverly, you are so loved and know he is protecting you and holding you in his arms from Heaven.

Dearest & beloved Beverly, my heart breaks with you at the loss of your sweet kindhearted husband Ron. What a beautiful legacy he is leaving behind. I always remember him talking about you & his precious granddaughter like a such a gentleman who would do anything for his family. Ron was such a wonderful friend & example of chivalry for so many. On several occasions I remember him going out of his way to help my Mother & I navigate through some difficulties my family was experiencing similar to your back pain woes. He taught me so many ways to make my mother comfortable during that time even taking me to the hardware store & building a special comfort railing. Oh Lord what a magnificent gesture, we where so tremendously blessed because of him. Please let us offer our compassion at this time as no words offered will make this hurt go away. Even though many aren't together during this difficult time, we are holding you & your family close in our hearts & most importantly prayers to our one & only Eternal Father Jesus Christ. I'm really going to miss Ron I have so many wonderful memories of him at work, he was a source of light. May the Lord keep your safe & comforted as you begin to navigate this new journey. Ron was my husband’s cousin. I met him once this summer. He, his wife Beverly and his sister Cheryl came to Cleveland for a visit. I had a great time that day. Ron was such fun, we made plans when all this covid mess was over the Cleveland gang of cousins were going to invade Fort Lauderdale. I’m so saddened by this. Ron was so full of Life and adventure. He will be so missed by so many people including his Cleveland cousins. Beverly I will continue to keep you in my prayers. Cheryl I will have you in my prayers also. Your children and grandchildren that I have to meet, he was proud . Family meant the world to him. So he now resides in your heart , think of him often and always look up because he is looking down upon you.

Ron was a dear friend who came right up to me at church and invited me to sit with him and his sweet wife, Beverly. We instantly became close friends, the three of us. He had such a huge heart and was always there for his family and friends. 
Beverly, I know how much you must be hurting. Just remember that you are loved and I am thinking of you often. Ron is surely in Heaven looking down on you and sending you his love.

We were blessed to know and love Ron as neighbors and as friends.  He lived his life to the fullest with a kind and loving sparkle in his eye. He was full of wisdom and patience and love.  He was always ready to help.  I can hear his laugh right now. He loved his family and made sure everyone knew how amazing they all are! We are grateful for Ron’s love. We are also grateful for his example as a good strong man full of compassion with the desire to build things, whether it was a beautiful ladder for our blankets or a relationship with those whom he touched with his wonderful spirit. Soar with the eagles Ron, you truly earned your wings.

I’ve known Ron for over 25 years, Debbie and I have always considered both Ron and Beverly family, Although we are the pest control for the entire family, we’ve always been considered friends as well.. since we own the company, we are able to stay and have beautiful conversations with our customers,  I remember having long conversations with both Laurel about how wonderful Ron was as a father, and Kaci saying how much she adored her grandfather... Unfortunately we lost both Laurel and Ron way too soon, they are both shining down on us! God received another angel.. Ron will be truly missed and always Loved! 

As a member of the NW quartet, Ron and I shared much laughter and fun singing unto the Lord and for the Lord.  He was a good friend and most importantly a fellow believer.  Ron, David, Gary, Bill and me spent many hours on our knees praying and many hours practicing music to honor the Lord with our music. We will hopefully all  join Ron around the throne of God and sing a new song in heavenly harmony one day, Our prayers are with Beverly and family.

Ron was a very good man and loved by many customers and associates.  I remember Ron as  a caring Father and husband who always loved sharing conversation about family and friends. He will be remembered for that and his reassuring  comments about business and life.  God speed my friend .

My sweet brother, I wasn’t finished with you yet. We had more to do together. More adventures to pursue. More travel. More laughs. And I loved how I could make you laugh so easily. I always said you were the nicest, kindest person I know. You could do anything, build anything, fix anything. And your mind never stopped working trying to come up with new and better ways to do things. And such a good father and grandfather; and just recently a great grandfather.  I’m sorry you won’t see him grow up and get to know how wonderful you are. But we will make sure he learns. I’ll love you forever.
