Sudesh Bridgelall, better known as Desh, was born on December 6, 1967 in Fyrish Village, Berbice, Guyana to Buddy and Savitri Bridgelall. In April 1983, Desh moved to New York where he joined his parents and four siblings. There, he would attend several schools which helped him learn to live with his handicaps. In 1998, he moved to Florida with his family where he lived for the remainder of his life. He continued to attend school where he received many achievements and was adored by his teachers.
Desh was truly a unique and beautiful individual. He was particularly gifted in making his family and friends laugh. He enjoyed being around people and was always the life of the party; dancing, singing, and making jokes. His heart was pure and filled with love for his family. His life was not the easiest; he faced daily struggles that took a toll on his health and relationships. But through it all, Desh managed to keep a smile on his face. We will miss his infectious laughter, getting a dollar from him on our birthdays, teasing him and getting cussed back, watching him play with his toy cars, him blasting loud Indian and Chutney music at all times of the day, stories about his future wife and his excitement to go to Guyana, whether he was going or not.
Desh is survived by his mother, Savitri, siblings Anand, Vijay, Sharda, and Radesh, sister-in-laws, Christina, Hannah, Amrita and Bebe, nieces and nephews, Kevin, Mandy, Amy, Ali, Kelly, Ricky, Bryan, Anthony, Mikey, Alvin, Ashley and Natalie, and his grand-nephew, Kamron.
We are all blessed to have had Desh in our lives. He will be dearly missed and forever loved.
