Thomas Dean Presnell

September 26, 2020 at Sinai Plaza Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in North Miami, FL at the age of 67.

Tom was born on December 28, 1952 in Erwin, Tennessee to the late Thomas Stanley Presnell and Margie Ruth Presnell (Moore). He graduated from Unicoi County High School in 1971. After graduating

High School, Tom relocated to North Miami, FL with his mother Margie and younger brother Terry in the Fall of 1971. Tom married the love of his life, Noreen Stack, on April 30, 1976. Tom graduated from

Florida International University in 1977 with a Degree in Engineering. Tom started his engineering career with Metro-Dade County Public Works in 1978. After a few years at the county, Tom landed his dream

job with Southern Bell as the Engineering Area Manager in 1980. Tom remained with Southern Bell, now AT&T, for over 36 years retiring in 2016. Tom and Noreen welcomed 2 loving children, Annie and

Thomas, along with raising their niece Laurel Lynn and nephew Ziga. Tom’s children remember him as a loving and dedicated father who encouraged them to pursue their dreams and taught them the importance of family.

Tom was an avid College Football fan. His favorite teams were the Tennessee Volunteers and the Miami

Hurricanes. Tom enjoyed going to the UM games with his family, canoeing in the Everglades, bowling at Cloverleaf Bowling Alley, and was a beast in weightlifting in his younger years. He enjoyed collecting

Blue Ridge pottery and antique memorabilia. Tom loved waking up early on Saturday mornings to get a jump start at the garage sales and swap shop. He was a kind and caring individual who loved his family

and who was passionate about his “Famous Fudge.”

Tom is survived by his 4 children, Son, Thomas James Presnell, Vallejo, CA, Daughter, Honora Ann Presnell, Miami, FL, Niece, Laurel Lynn Presnell, North Miami, FL, Nephew, Ziga Carrasco, Special Cousins, Finetta Quillen,Sherell Presnell (Theresa), Jimmie Daniels (Lynn), Linda Calhoun (Leland), Sister in Laws, Nicole Roma (Joe), Carmen Stack, Brother in Laws Joseph Foligno (Kerri), Jim Foligno (Kim), Pat Foligno (Terri), Bob Kay, Special Friend, Jessica Jehnzen along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his wife, Honora Agnes “Noreen” Presnell, parents, Thomas Stanley Presnell and Margie Ruth Presnell, brothers James Pardee Presnell, Terry Lynn Presnell and sister Elma Jean Presnell.

A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for Sunday October 25, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 2401 SW 64th Ave, Davie, FL. A second Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday October 27, 2020 with services starting at 3:00 pm at Erwin Bible Holiness Church 235 Okolona Dr., Erwin, TN, Reverend Kim Casey will be officiating the service. All are welcomed to attend and celebrate Tom’s life.
