
Wilma Ilene (Silland) Constantino passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024 at Holy Cross Hospice in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at 97 years old. She was born July 4, 1927 at home in Salisbury, Illinois, to her parents John and Barbara (Jackson) Silland, and had a dear sister Bea O’Donnell, who all preceded her in death.
She married Frank David Constantino on May 21, 1943 in St. Louis, and they were married for 60 wonderful years. He preceded her in death on April 24, 2004. Wilma was a stay at home mom that took care of their five children, the heart of her family. In addition to being a homemaker,
Wilma worked at Zike’s Drug Store in Rosewood Heights, Illinois. After they both retired, Wilma and Frank were snowbirds and spent Summer and Autumn in Roxana, Illinois and Winter and Spring in Davie, Florida. They also enjoyed traveling, going on cruises and visiting Las Vegas once a year to celebrate their anniversaries. After Frank passed, Wilma stayed active, with most nights finding her playing cards or enjoying a cold beer and wings with her friends.
Wilma was loved and will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Kathy (Lintz) Constantino of Rosewood Heights, Illinois; her daughter, Terry (Constantino) Iberto of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; her grandchildren, Teriann Constantino and her mother Renee (Peacock) Constantino of West Palm Beach, Florida, Mike Constantino of Alton, Illinois, Tony Constantino of Houston, Texas, Deana (Constantino) McDonough and her husband Myron of Bethalto, Illinois and Diana (Constantino) Minder and her husband Rich of Westfield, Indiana; and her niece and her husband Barbara (O’Donnell) and Dennis England of Hillsboro, Missouri; and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kandy Constantino, her sons David Constantino and Mark Constantino, and her son-in-law, Teresio Iberto.
