Winston Hibbert went home to be with the Lord in the dying moments of Christmas Day after a brief period of illness. He was born in Clarendon, Jamaica on March 20, 1943. He later moved to Kingston where he met and married Megan. They later relocated to Hollywood, Florida. Theirs was a love that spanned more than half a century.
Winston will be remembered for his compelling humor, his fine dress style, and his love of God and family. He spoke in superlatives about his wife, his wonderful children (Evelyn, Jennifer, Deon, Devon (deceased), Rohan & Patricia (adopted), Tricia-Gaye and his adorable grand and great grandchildren. He valued family and friends above all.
Winston was a professional tailor, an avid domino-player and a great story teller and would arrest the attention of young and old alike with his wit and penchant for details. But it was his relationship with Jesus that would be the greatest story he would tell over and over again, because he never got weary of sharing about the love and mercies of his Savior.
Winston Hibbert: Beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. God took him home, it was His will, but in our hearts he lingers still.
Winston will be missed dearly.
