

Yvette Rosenblum Segal passed away at her home in Tamarac, FL on October 21, 2025 with friends and family near. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 17, 1927 and died just short of her 98th birthday.
Yvette grew up in New York City. She graduated from Columbia University and worked with Alan Greenspan in finance at The Conference Board in New York. After World War II she married Dr. Hubert Bramson Segal, a surgeon in Brooklyn and later in Rockland County, NY. Yvette loved Oriental antiques and enjoyed auction sales. She once bought four calves about to be slaughtered for veal and transported them to their Orange County, NY home in her station wagon!
She had one son, Fredric Alan Segal (Kathleen Dempsey) of Pompano Beach, FL. Yvette was preceded in death by her husband; her granddaughter Deanna Helena Segal (age four); her brother Dr. Marvin Scott (Joyce); and her parents, William and Rochelle Usherenko Rosenblum.
Internment will be at the South Florida National Cemetery on State Road 7 in Lake Worth with her husband who served aboard an attack transport during World War II as a Navy corpsman. A Remembrance Service for Yvette will be held via Zoom for friends and relatives unable to travel.
