

Donald Robert Bornschein, also known as Don or "The Dude," passed away on December 27, 2023, at the age of 63 in Fort Mohave, AZ. He was born on June 29, 1960, in Union City, NJ. Donald was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Donald was known for his friendly and funny personality. He was a straight shooter who loved his family and friends dearly. Despite being born in New Jersey, Donald was a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan his whole life. Perhaps, being the youngest of three, he could relate to being the underdog. He enjoyed playing a round of golf, coaching youth sports and watching football in his free time.
In 1991, he moved to Laughlin, NV, where he worked as a bartender at Gnat's Landing for many years. Later, he changed careers and became a Pit Boss at The Riverside Hotel and Casino.
Donald is survived by his two sons, Nicky and Jesse. His two daughters, Amanda and Alex. His five grandsons, Riley, Brayden, Giovonni, Sawyer, Rey, and one granddaughter,
Brooklyn.
He also leaves behind; his older sister, Robin, his niece, Brittany, his nephews, DJ and Spencer, as well as, his long time girlfriend, Eileen.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Bornschein, his mother, Roberta "Bobbi" Bornschein, and his older brother, Dean Bornschein.
The family intends to have a gathering to celebrate Don's life. The location of the gathering is being kept private, but all are welcome to attend. Please reach out to a family member if you would like to take part in the celebration.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made towards reimbursing the cost of Donald's end of life services. His death was unexpected and has come at a time of financial strain within the family. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
