Andrew Koblanski, 84, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 18, 2020. He was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1935. He regarded Wloclawek, Poland, to be his hometown and visited there often. Andrew emigrated to the United States in 1958 and settled in East Hartford, CT. He worked at Crouse-Hinds (Arrow Hart) in Hartford, CT as a tool room machinist and supervisor for 28 years. He was then employed at Winslow Automatics, New Britain, CT for 16 years prior to moving to Fort Myers in 1999. Andrew’s interests included politics, WWII history, gardening, traveling around the United States, his family, and helping others.
He leaves his beloved wife of 62 years, Wiktoria, his daughter, Diana (Paul) Crossley of Ann Arbor, MI; his son, Mark Koblanski (Lisa Kennedy) of Rocky Hill, CT; and his cherished grandson, Michael Crossley also of Ann Arbor, MI. He will be incredibly missed by many in Florida, Connecticut, and Michigan. A funeral mass will be held at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord, 8121 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers, FL on Tuesday, July 28 at 11 am followed by a reception in the Regency Room, 6777 Winkler Road, Fort Myers, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made in his name to Hope Hospice of Fort Myers or to the American Cancer Society.
