

Cora Louise Davies passed away peacefully on Monday, December 8, 2025. Born on June 22, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to T. Harry and Maude Packer Mack, Cora grew up in Birmingham, Michigan and graduated from Baldwin High School. She went on to study journalism at the University of Michigan where she met the love of her life, Don Davies. They were married for 71 years until he passed in 2021.
Cora is survived by her five children: Susan (Tim Broderick), Donald, Karen, Geoffrey, and Janet Sze (Michael), as well as 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Cora was an intelligent and witty woman who, at the age of 90, was often called on by her children and friends for computer assistance. She was a devoted Catholic who lived her values and was an active member of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Plymouth, Michigan and St. John XXIII Parish in Ft. Myers, Florida. She was also a PEO member, played bridge and golf, and completed the daily crossword puzzles in ink. She had an active community of Facebook Friends that included her children’s grade school and high school friends.
The celebration of Cora’s life will take place on Friday, January 9th with Visitation at 1:00 pm and the Funeral Mass at 1:30 pm at St. John XXIII Catholic Church, 13060 Palomino Lane, Ft. Myers, FL 33912.
