Mrs. Doris Smith

Eloise was born on November 24th, 1930.

As a teenager she met, the LOVE of her life, Bill Smith, and they married in January 26th, 1948, going on to have 3 children, Sharon, Billy and Tim.

She dedicated her life to being a faithful servant to God. Eloise and Bill with the kids traveled to many churches as, The Smith Family Gospel Singers.

Eloise was a passionate about her music and the families music abilities. Eloise played piano, guitar and sang. She raised all the kids in church and around music. Whenever there was a family gathering you could be sure there was music from all. And when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness and sweet tea with fried chicken, she could be found in her room watching Jimmy Swaggart on TV.

Eloise and Bill traveled to many places like: the Holy Land, Egypt, several cruises and Germany.

Eloise was predeceased by her parents Rueben O. Snyder and Ethel T. (Ward), husband William A Smith, brother Robert Snyder, sister Mary Ann Snyder, Billy's son William O. Smith, daughter Sharon Collins, Billy's daughter in law Becky Smith and Timothy's grand daughter in law Samantha Smith.

Eloise is survived by Timothy R. Smith (Darla) and son in law James Collins. Grandchildren: Nelson Noble, Marcus Noble, Sheila Johnson, Phil Smith, Chris Smith, Brian Smith(Stephanie), Clay Wethal and Timothy W. Smith.

Several great grandchildren and her siblings: Louise Bell Morgan(Charles), Shirley Everly Carrillo(Alex), Joan Montgomery(Richard), Anita Kelly and Kenneth Snyder(Maureen).

There will be a visitation at 11am with service following, on October 30th, 2021 at SonShine Church.

A visitation for Doris will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Sonshine Worship Center, 12925 Palm Beach Blvd A, Fort Myers, FL 33905. A funeral servcie will occur Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 12825 Palm Beach Blvd A, Fort Myers, FL 33905. A graveside service will occur Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913.
