Tío, I know your watching down on us as you always did. I am eternally grateful to have a had an amazing uncle like you. You always made me a part of your family like I was your own. You protected me since I was child, showing up in uniform so I wouldn’t be bullied at school. You made sure I was at every birthday party and event our family had. You were the second father always! When I moved to Florida, you opened your home during hurricanes as I was running away from the direct eye.  You always had my back, I will never forget you saying hi mama, when I entered the door. That Japanese garden was always on my mind through the years and we always said we need to go to Japan. I took for granted the last few year’s, I always thought I had more time. As we can see we are not promised tomorrow. These last few weeks I got to say Goodbye, I got to see your smile one last time. Loved hearing you speak in Spanish. Your last few days of life were hard ones, but your unity showed with all of us around you. I am super sad, because I lost the best uncles anyone could ask for.  Thank you Edgar Rosas for being the amazing Husband,Father,Uncle,Grandfather,Son, Brother-in-law, Father-in-law and Friend anyone could ask for. Te quiero mucho Tío! Michelle 🙏🙏👼👼

When a personal loss occurs, the hope is that in a short time a smile at a fond thought comes to mind before the sadness of the loss.  In my case I will always smile first if not chuckle at the
Times we shared as NYPD police partners.  A female on patrol was new and Eddy innately believed in equality of women.  What
must be mentioned is that Judy, his wife took the time to get to know me and also became a good friend. Enjoyed the entire family. Bonnie, oldest daughter remembers so much. Lisa and Nevin were very young.  Eddy was Best Man at my wedding and I am smiling as I am writing this.  So many memories.  After I retired Eddy made Sergeant and my husband Arjun was with me for his swearing in ceremony at Police Headquarters. Now, we were in Florida as he passed and spent time with the family at there home.  My son Steffen, sends his condolences and remembers Eddy as a good guy, who always had a smile and sense of humor.  Simply put, Eddy was a good man.

Ed. , you've always held a special place in my heart as a teenage friend, as my first brother-in-law and a forever friend. One personal memory I have was every Sunday when your brother and I came to the parents home for dinner, you and I sat at the kitchen table challenging our intellectual  minds doing the Sunday Times crossword puzzle together while  Sunday dinner was being prepared. As life circumstances would have it we didn't see each other that much through the years but I was forever grateful for the watchful eye you kept with Michelle and Steven while we lived in New York.   I was always happy to know that you were blessed with a wonderful wife and family and at end that's all that matters. Rest in Peace my brother ,🕊️🕊️🕊️

May he rest in God’s internal garden! I know he’ll be creating new gardens in the heavens above as he watches over his family! A family who has proved the strength and love for him and each other during this trying time.  Clyde , myself and our whole send our love to each and everyone of you! 

I don't have a lot of memories from when I was a kid, but some of the few I can recall vividly were with Uncle Edgar and the family. I can still remember how the kitchen had looked, how the family room was set up and how neat the backyard was to me. I'm sad that I wasn't in a place where I could come down and visit with everyone and see him, but I will always have good memories of the time I spent with him.

My wife and I have fond memories of meeting Judith and Edgar at a USS Boston Reunion in 2009. Edgar and I are Shipmates,  as we both served on the Boston,  although at different times.  He is a Vietnam Veteran. Our prayers are with him, and I  wish him smooth and following seas. Rest in peace Shipmate.
