Ed I will love and miss you forever and ever! You were my best friend so Happy  the times we had together miss you always!

My sympathies although belated .
Eddie was a great friend and no wonder he came from a great family. We were close friends all through st. Francis and at verot and then Eddie was one of the first people who was there to greet be there for me to come  back to a normal civilian life after the marines and combat. I always remember that he almost ALWAYS had a smile on his face, even when we would get in trouble at school..

This is so sad. Ed was such a friend to my family and had a special nickname for me. I will think of him often. 

I have the happiest memories of Eddie walking down the halls of Bishop Verot wearing his cute Generra clothes with that big grin on his face.   He was so easy going and I remember laughing a lot when I was around him.  I never heard him say an unkind word.

I know that he is in heaven right now smiling at all of his family and friends.  I’m praying for him and his family. 

I have many memories with Ed and remember laughing uncontrollably at times.  We fairly recently got caught up on a lot of things since I no longer live in Florida.  I hadn't talked with Ed for years and it was like a beat wasn't missed.  

I, along with many people will miss you very much Mr. Ziegler.  Rest in peace sir!

I’m so sorry to hear of this…he was such a personable and soulful guy.  My deepest sympathies to his family from mine.  

I’m sad to hear the news of Eddie’s passing! Lots of good memories of Ed through elementary, middle and high school. My prayers go out to the Ziegler family and all the family and friends that mourn his absence way too early in their lives. 

Ed and I I grew up together, playing baseball and tennis.  He was always a great athlete and competitor but was always a friend first.     

We are all saddened by his passing and he will be missed by many.     I’m sending my heartfelt condolences to the family to celebrate all the good that Eddy was known for.   🙏    RIP Ed.   

Gone way too soon.  Eddie was a very good friend of mine back in the day at St Francis and through High School. Always a devious smile, best personality, big spirit, and the sweetest person. My prayers go out to the entire Ziegler family ❤️ 

Eddie you my friend have been taken to soon. I don’t think of middle school or high school without you in those memories. From hanging out on the field at st Francis on field day. Attempting not to get into trouble in class. With you laughing that laugh of yours. And in high school continuing to be you. You always were and will be one of my favorite people Ed. Thank you for reaching out over the years. Meant so much. You, your family and your friends are in my continued prayers my dear friend. You will be greatly missed. 

I am so sad to hear this news. Ed was such a special friend to me in middle school and early high school. Ed had so many special gifts that I’m not truly sure he was aware of. He was a super athlete, caring, adventurous and always up for having fun. When I look back, I now realize that Ed naturally helped to teach me several qualities that I yearned to understand better. I have so many memories of special times with Ed, and I was just talking about the day that he and I skateboarded to St. Francis on our last day of eighth grade. We thought we were such rebels. My heart goes out to his family who always welcomed me into their home like I was one of their own kids. May you be in peace Ed. 

My heart and soul ache to hear this sad news. My son Mike and Eddie were best friends growing up all through Little League and they had so much fun. They went to camp together in North Carolina. I haven’t seen Eddie in years but have thought of him, and his dear mother over the years.  And when I think of them, it is always when Eddie is nine years old and Linda is in the bleachers at Little League. Linda, please know that I share your grief and sorrow. Sending love and prayers to your family.

Such sad news. I always loved Ed. Went to HS together and would see him what seemed like every 5-7 years. Brother always had that smile on his face and such a caring presence about him. Gone way too soon. My prayers go out to the entire Ziegler family during this tough time. 

My condolences to the entire Ziegler family. I have known Ed for 40 years. My family and I moved to Fort Myers in 1982 and we were so lucky to have them as our neighbors. Even though Ed was a few years older then me, he was always so great to me. We had a gap in our friendship due to life and the paths that we were on, but 12 years ago we resumed our friendship once I moved back to Fort Myers and we got to spend some time playing golf and watching football. Gone way too soon! Thank you for your friendship Ed! You will be missed my friend!

Very sorry for your loss . Ed was smooth one , we played baseball for a couple seasons and always loved watching him pitch with that southpaw motion. Recently I would see him in the gym and we  talk about playing tennis . Gone too soon!
