Mike I met your Mom only once. You took us all to her restaurant! I remember her walking into the room (briskly) and thought she look nothing of any 'typical' Mom. She appeared to be a power house (strong willed) and her smile was wide so happy to see you! I am very sorry for your families loss. Glad I had the chance to meet her.

When I was a girl, my family would spend many holidays and special occasions at Aunt Esther & Uncle Bud's house when grandma and grandpa Dopp lived upstairs. Cousins Elaine & Richard, Uncle Bobbie & aunt Jean and all their kids would be there for 4th of July picnic, swimming in the pool and fireworks. My brothers Gregg (deceased) and Kevin were also there. In later years I remember great meals and parties at Jamaica Joe's restaurant. We loved to eat at Elaine's restaurant.

Grandma Elaine was an amazing women! Shawn and I always looked forward to go out to Wheatfield to spend the night at her house. Help around the house and enjoy our time with her. I remember going around with grandma Elaine during Christmas and looking at all the lights on all the houses. All the big house with lots of lights she said “ wow that’s a doozie!!!” That has stuck with me to this day. Grandma, I promise I will teach my kids to say the same thing!

We have had so many fun trips with the entire family from. Cedar Point riding the train over and over and over again, to Virginia Beach and of course Madeira Beach, Florida! Those memories I will cherish forever!

We love you Grandma and will be missed but never forgotten!

Love,

Ryan, Amy, Hudson and Madison

Mom was an amazing person to everyone she came in contact with, her infectious smile, her amazing heart to always support and help anyone in need or just a ear to listen to. She had an amazing eye for art & crafts that was never ending. She created  and provided gifts and memories for so many to enjoy at each holiday. Mom was born with 10 green thumbs she loved her flower gardens which she always found a way to create a new one regardless of the fact she already had to many. She was a person that would never give up and would always find a way to make it work no matter the odds. We all love the  fact she followed her dreams and passion to help people and to own her own restaurant, Jamaica Joe’s.  Moms passion and great empathy touched so many people in such a positive way along her personal journey. Mom really loved all of the holidays and made sure each was celebrated with her special touch and home made decorations, she made sure she keep all the traditions alive, you always knew that you could find that special holidays food prepared with love, and to share with family, friends or neighbors. No one was ever turned away and she always made sure you had a place at the table. Dave was Moms rock, sole mate, twinkle in her eye, love of her life.   We are beyond grateful to Dave for loving Mom unconditionally and being so supportive during Moms illness.  Dave never wavered and always made sure Elaine his “Sunshine” was well cared for. We are truly blessed to have been able to be apart of her life and to share her joys and passion. We are all going to miss her dearly, but all know she is in a better place, Heaven.
Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end, they simply  mean, we will miss you until we meet again. Forever in our hearts.
