It is with great sadness that Sarah and I  say goodbye to our good friend Georgia.  We were band mates in Telegraph Creek with her late husband Mike, Daryl Fidler and later Rick.  We played gigs together, attended music festivals, re-enactments, camping trips and long weekends antiquing at flea markets and hunting for more dishes and quilts and Halloween decorations and of course guitars, etc.   We always had fun together and looked forward to our next adventure, especially if it involved a Chinese buffet.  We had a mutual greeting when we greeted each other and raced to be the first one to say, "Hi Honey, I'm home!"   It's comforting to know that is what she is saying now to Rick and Mike.    
We will miss her and feel blessed to have known her.

My mother was the strongest person I knew. She overcame many struggles in her life and did her best to provide for us kids. I always admired her for going to school and becoming a nurse. She was my hero. I looked to her any time I needed help with a problem or just a shoulder to lean on. She always helped her children no matter what. She loved us all and always wanted better for us.  I loved growing up in a house full of music. Between her and my brother Rick, there was live acoustics often. I loved her voice and the teddy bear song she would sing to me. My mother was filled with creativity. I was always amazed at the things she would craft. She was an avid quilter. I have many quilts of hers that I will cherish. I also have some i will finish for her. I loved baking Christmas cookies with her and just spending time with her. The picture I shared is how I see her in my heart. Forever young.

This is my big sister.  She loved music and loved singing and playing her guitar.  It is hard to put into words the grief we all feel about loosing her, but she was a believer in God and Jesus, so I think we can all rest assured that she is with them now.  Georgia was loved by everyone who met her.  She was a kind spirit and always put others above herself.  Love you Sis, I'm not sure who to call now.  I will miss our frequent phone calls.  Say Hi to Mom, Alan and Rick for me.
