On January 9, 2015 James Corwin Boonstra, a longtime resident of Ft. Myers, died peacefully surrounded by family. Jim was born and raised in Zeeland, Michigan. He graduated from Hope College in 1954. While serving in the Armed Forces he met Bernadette, his beloved wife of 57 years. He graduated from Thunderbird School of Global Management and spent most of his life working and traveling in South America. He leaves behind his loving wife, his children Ann, David and Stephen, two grandchildren Anya and Larisa, a brother, Frank Boonstra of Venice and a sister Peg Frohberg of Ft. Collins and brother and sister-in-law Terry and Rose Swales of Liverpool, England and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Jan. 22, 2015 at St. Cecilia's Church at 10:00 am.
