Lorraine Frances D'Urso

Lorraine Frances D’Urso (nee Gross), 79, of Fort Myers Beach, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021. Formerly of North Haven, CT, Lorraine was a resident of Island Sands Condominiums. She was born November 10, 1942 in New Haven, CT to Frank and Hellen (nee Przybylowski) Gross (Gruszczynski). Lorraine has one sister, Patricia DeGrand of Top Sail, North Carolina.

Lorraine married Vincent D’Urso, Jr. on August 10, 1963. They lived in New Haven, CT until moving to North Haven, CT in 1973. Vincent and Lorraine have two children, Vincent of Orange, CT and Mark of Wethersfield, CT.

Lorraine is survived by 5 grandchildren, Nikko, Tyler, Hunter, Zachary and Jacob (Bri) D’Urso, as well as her niece, Jennifer DeGrand.

Lorraine retired as a secretary from the USA Attorney’s Office in 2003. She loved her family and friends. She was an avid book reader and loved doing crossword puzzles and watching QVC.

We would like to thank the nurses and staff at Hope Hospice for taking care of Lorraine as well as all her friends and neighbors at Island Sands Condos for all the food, prayers and love.

There will be a Memorial Mass at Church of the Ascension, 6025 Estero Blvd, Fort Myers Beach on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM.
