Loula Elizabeth Wood age 89, of Lehigh Acres, FL passed away on November 6, 2019. She traveled extensively with her sister, Fran and brother-in-law, Walt Speelman as part of The Spotlighters musical trio. Loula retired from United Telephone as a long distance operator. She was a faithful member of Grace Bible Church for over 35 years serving as stewardess and treasurer. Loula devoted 40+ years helping to care for her parents, sisters, and brother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee T. and Anna “Betty” Willis; brothers, Langley, Edward, and John; sisters, Mary Ethel, Nellie Mae, and Alpine Frances. Loula is survived by her children, Ron (Debra) Wood, Karen Koger, and Tony Wood; grandchildren, Ian Wood, Alison Peeling, Veronica Miller, Jason Koger, Daniel Koger, Elizabeth Koger, Levi Wood, and Kaitlan Wood; great grandchildren, Lindsay Miller, Gage Koger, Leonna Koger, Cameron Miller, Damion Koger, Draven Koger, Tyler Moore, and Robert Peterson; great great grandsons, Blaine Wood, Isaiah Ruiz Miller, and Lincoln Peeling as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Ft Myers, FL 33913 on Thursday, November 14th from 6pm to 8pm.
