Mark A. DeFilippis, a longtime resident of Fort Myers, FL passed away unexpectedly at the age of 52 on July 10, 2018. Mark was born on April 14, 1966 in Toms River, New Jersey. He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate Dawn M. DeFilippis of twenty years, daughter, Heather Withrow and cat Mouse, of Ft. Myers, FL., daughter, Amber Clapprood and Fiancé Eric Guerrero of Port Saint Lucie, FL., son, Daniel Crossen and wife, Kayla Crossen, of Ft. Myers, FL. Grandchildren, Gabriel and Sophia Guerrero and Mercedes and Daniel Crossen Jr. Siblings, Michael, Matthew, and Martin DeFilippis, and Joseph and Victoria Winzinger. Loving Father and Step-Mother, Albert and Joan DeFilippis, as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews and several close devoted friends.
Mark was predeceased by his Mother Joann Winzinger, Paternal Grandparents, Pat and Mary DeFilippis, Maternal Grandparents, Edward and Anna Sarnowski, an Aunt, Joanne Sarnowski and family pet German Shepard, Segen.
Mark was dedicated to his work in the Auto Glass Industry for over twenty five years alongside longtime friend and partner Ernie Gonnelly. Mark enjoyed watching his favorite football team, Philadelphia Eagles and Nascar races. He was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast and loved to ride. He and his wife had longed to move to the mountains of Tennessee where they could enjoy their retirement together.
There will be a private viewing for immediate family only to say their goodbyes and then a Celebration of Life on Monday July 16, 2018 at 4 o’clock p.m. at Ter-tini’s, 1901 Crystal Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33907.
The family will be asking anyone who would like to share a fun story or fond memory at the celebration. Also, they will be honoring Mark by wearing Harley attire as they know that’s what Mark would have wanted, but not required.
The family would like to also thank Hodges-Kiser Funeral Home, Bill and Ann for their compassionate and loving arrangements.
