Mary C. Jackson was born on September 28, 1921, and went to be with our Lord and Savior on September 19, 2019. She was born in Detroit, Michigan where she resided until 1970 and then moved to Cape Coral, Florida; finally residing in Fort Myers.
She was preceded in death by her parents Chester and Mary Chmielewski; six sisters, Hattie, Lilly, Sophie, Pauline, Helen and Phyllis, along with her husband of 58 years, William Jackson; her two sons William Jackson, Jr. and Lawrence Jackson and her grandson Jonny Jackson. She is survived by her son Jon Jackson, her daughter Nancy Hatt (Steve), her granddaughters, Toni Krantz (Lon), Kim VanSaun (Bobby), Kristi Gunn (Rick) and grandson, Brian Wenzlick; 13 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
She was our loving Mother, Grandmother and Friend to everyone. She enjoyed her life at the Boggy Creek Campground in Kissimmee, the Michigan Club in Cape Coral, along with crocheting, painting, reading and playing cards with her friends, but her favorite hobby of all time was playing Bingo. Her Bingo friends meant the world to her. She taught us that, “You can do anything you try hard enough to do and there was no such thing as I can't”. She demonstrated that by her own actions her whole life working very hard at everything she did. The thing she valued most in life was her family and friends. She was the family monarch and enjoyed having fun, even winning a dance contest at 90 years old in the Turks and Caicos Islands. She was always there to lend a hand, talk things through, feed you if you were hungry, give you a safe place to stay and be your shoulder to cry on if you needed one. She will be deeply missed by us all. We love you! Until we meet again…..
