Mary (Toot) Katherine Snyder, of Fort Myers Florida and formerly of Deep Creek Lake, MD, and Keyser, WV passed away peacefully in the care of Hope Hospice, Fort Myers Florida, due to a long battle with dementia. She was 90 years old. Mrs. Snyder resided several years in the care of Brookdale Cypress Lakes Fort Myers. Born on November 4, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Luther and Elsie (Reeves) Borror of Keyser, WV. She was employed by the late Dr. Don Kiser as a dental hygienist and was a bank teller for National Bank of Keyser. Mrs. Snyder attended Keyser High School. She loved to attend the Class of 1951 “get-to-gathers.” She enjoyed bowling and spending time with friends at Deep Creek and friends in Fort Myers. She received her banking certification credentials from West Virginia and was awarded bowler of the year and was part of the bowling team that went to the regional championship.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Arnold O. Snyder; survived by her only sister Shirley Lee, Keyser, niece Kimberly Asonevich, who cared for her for many years; several nieces, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being provided by Hodges-Kiser Funeral Home Fort Myers. Mrs. Snyder was Methodist by faith. At the request of Mrs. Snyder there will be no visitation or viewing. Her final resting place will be beside her husband in Potomac Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Keyser, WV.
