Richard Allen Campbell

Richard Campbell age 55, of Lehigh Acres, FL passed away on July 14, 2015. He was born on January 28, 1960 in Richmond, IN to Terry and Peggy Campbell. While in high school, Richard was an honor student, graduated early from high school, and a recipient of the Boys State Scholarship. He had a multitude of jobs over his lifetime to support his family which included well drilling, boring and underground utilities with LCEC. Richard also held a CDL and a Criminal Justice degree. He used his degree to become a corrections officer and worked in private security. He was a supporter of Ducks Unlimited and was a tremendous animal lover. Richard was also a parishioner of St. Raphael Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Betty and Ernie Campbell, Howard and Barbara Dean; father, Terry Campbell. Richard is survived by his spouse of 34 years, Cheryl Campbell; mother, Peggy King; children, Stephanie (Ryan) Campbell Williams, Stacey Campbell, and Sara Campbell; grandchildren,(Stacey) Preston(8), (Stephanie) Tristen(7), (Stacey) Porter(5), and (Stephanie) Savannah(3); siblings, Diane, Janet, Ed, Nicole, Terrence, and Cindy (Joe) . Richard is also survived by his best buddy, his loving dog Rusty and many other loving family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 S.R. 82, Ft. Myers, FL 33913 Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 3:00PM in the cemetery.

A Celebration of Life will also be take place Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 6:00PM at Veterans Memorial Park in Lehigh Acres. Everyone is welcome.

A benefit is being held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3938, 607 Williams Ave, Lehigh Acres, FL 33972 on Saturday August 1, 2015 at noon. A Gofundme page has also been established for Richard Campbell. In lieu of flowers send donations to the family. Info 239-334-4880.
