Shelby enjoyed arts and crafts, like painting, making bracelets and ceramics. She was an outstanding cook, known for her biscuits, southern cooking and chocolate cakes. She had a green thumb, able to make plants and flowers flourish.
Shelby is survived by her children: Jim McCommon, Angie Ramos, Cindy (Chris) Palmquist and Brian (Erin) McCommon; grandchildren: Cody (Jade) Palmquist, Carson Palmquist, Zakk Ramos, Kai Ramos, Justin McCommon, Josh McCommon, Mia McCommon, Eve McCommon, Wylder McCommon and Dillon McCommon; siblings: Calvin (Frances) Hedden, Buck (Vivian) Hedden, Gary (Brenda) Hedden, Jerry Hedden and Joyce Hedden. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents, Hosea and Ella Hedden, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
Visitation will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL on Saturday, February 22nd from 12:30 pm until the time of the funeral service at 2:30 pm.
