Pops, how Charles was known, was a hard worker. Jack of all trades. He was a big part of the Citrus industry. He was a heavy machine operator at Packers and Gracewood Citrus groves for many years. He was a faithful, family man. Calculative in every aspect of his life. He was one of ten children raised in Vero Beach. He enjoyed visiting and aggravating them regularly, always with an impish grin.
He married the love of his life, Albertha Roker, in 1962. Together they raised their 6 children in the Vero Beach North Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was a spiritual man and found joy in volunteering on construction projects and as a traffic director at Assemblies and Conventions. Charles found comfort in his love for Jehovah God and the hope for a better new world to come. Pops knew EVERYONE and would talk to ANYONE. He loved to share his experiences and stories, he had A lot!
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Albertha Roker Bristol. He is survived by his children, Eugene Bristol and wife Audra, Benjamin Bristol and wife Linda, Eunice Bristol, Dennis Bristol and wife Diana, Tyrone Bristol and wife Kim, and Andrea Horine and husband Travis. Siblings, Jean Knowles, Lily Hightower, Stanley Bristol, Alphonso Bristol, and Delores Bristol. A Host of grand children, great grandchildren, brothers and sisters, and many other loving family and friends.
