George is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Mary Lou Comins. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years Sarah Krystial Comins, his daughter Christina Smith and her husband Travis, his son Wesley Comins and wife Miranda, his stepdaughter, Lisa Joseph, stepson Richard Carroll and his wife Samantha, three grandchildren, Logan, Alyssa, and Savannah, and last but not least, his favorite Cocker Spaniel, Bailey.
George was born on September 20, 1950 in South Bend, Indiana. He grew up and spent most of his early life in Miami, Florida where he started working for Southern Bell shortly after college. It wasn’t long after that Port Saint Lucie became home for George and his family. He retired from Bellsouth after 38 years of service, which gave him the opportunity to enjoy many wonderful years building hot rods, attending car shows, spending time with his family, traveling around the area with his wife on countless nature photography adventures and doing numerous projects for family and friends. He was truly one of a kind. Someone you could always call when in need. As he would say, the shop was always open! George will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
