John Clement McDonald at the age of 85 passed away peacefully at Indian River Estates in Vero Beach on September 2, 2013. He was born on December 24th, 1927 in Geneseo NY. He was predeceased by his wife Shirley and sister Geraldine Maxson.
He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Syracuse University. He, his wife and three children John Jr., Terry and Lynn took up residency in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada after being transferred to manage a division of Fingerhut Corporation. He served as a member of the Kiwanis Club in Cornwall and headed up the first Canadian lottery. He returned to the States in the 70’s and assumed the position of Manager for Hale Indian River Groves for over 25 years and was referred to by many in the Citrus Industry as a Marketing Guru. He owned a number of groves in Indian River County and served on the Town council of Indian River Shores.
Services will be held at Aycock Funeral Home on Friday at 2:00pm with a viewing beforehand between 12:00 and 2:00pm.
