We were so very saddened to learn of John's passing.  We had rented the lot beside his last Jan./Feb.  We would sit and chat.  He was such a Southern gentlemen.  I recall when taking him some ham & bean soup with cornbread, he said, "Well, thank you, darlin'!"  So sweet!  We'd smile (albeit nervously!) watching him take his pup for a bike ride through the park.  We were hoping to be able to visit with John & Princess this year, and were looking for him every day.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his much loved family and also with his beloved fur family pup.  Rest in peace, John!
