My sincere condolences to Mark,Sandra and the rest of the family.  Sister Brown is unmatched.  Her soft warm voice and contagious smile will be missed. She has left a legacy that is worth emulating. I pray that you will be comforted with the thought that you will see her soon and every thought of her will not bring tears but a warm smile to your faces.

Dear Pastor & Sis.. Brown  and other family members of the late Sis. Mavis Brown,
We would like to express our sincere condolences for the loss of your mother/family member Sis. Mavis.
Of course, we do realize the sadness and grief that you must be experiencing, and would like to encourage you to take hope in God's plan for that great Resurrection.  Sis. Mavis was a  Christian woman who loved the Lord.  She was also a praying woman. That’s why I had the opportunity to meet her; she prayed with and for me on a Tuesday morning when I reached out to her. What a prayer that was! I’ve tried to employ her style of praying since then.
It’s expected that you will all miss Sis. Mavis; however, it won’t be for long. Soon and very soon, we will see the King. We will also see dear Sis. Mavis who will be looking for you.  We encourage you to be faithful, so that on that great getting-up morning you may all be reunited!

In remembering Sis. Mavis Brown, the Smikle family thanks God for the experience of having known this principled woman of very few words and refined deportment. Her Christian example, sense of humor, numerous stories, and scrumptious homemade bread are fondly remembered, and we smile, because we had the pleasure of knowing this lady. So, Mark, Sandra and family, take heart. Jesus is coming! You'll see her again, and we know you're not grieving as those without hope.  We know the pain. We mourn with you. We support you in prayer. It is sad but Mother Brown lived a full life. She was convicted, converted and committed. She gave us hope that we all can live a Christian life. She is missed but her legacy is here forever.

On behalf of Joy and my family I want to express heartfelt condolences to Pastor M. Brown and his wife Sis. S. Brown and their children and grandchildren along with their extended family during this difficult time on the passing of their dear mom,  grandmother, Sis. M. Brown. Praying for God's strength for the entire family!

I was praying that grandmother would  have made it to her 100 birthday  ! Already had  plans for her gift. this mug a sample of my husband last year birthday gift and it was to be duplicated for grandmother in her own style ! She entered into her rest at 99 ! Weeks away for a purpose! Her 99 reminds me of the one missing! I pray I will be added as the missing one for my grandmother! Amen

This park will serve as memorial to grandmother because I will remember when I was lonely and vulnerable I would go there to pray. She would call  out the blue n bid me to come to see her,I would ask what to bring she would say ensures I knew exactly what the call was about she would make  sure I was ok just wanted to pray with me. N always encouraged me. She told  me stories I will never forget or repeat! My condolences to the Brown family; mother Brown has ran a great race! Her trophy is polished and waiting.

Often I went to this park and walk to saying doing exercise and my intuition would tell me call grand mother and asks what she wanted to bring. If she said yam ! I know she was in a thought Reminiscing about her dad and how she grew up! I would and sat and listen until these stories we shared connected to Christ so we would connect to worship before we would part! Praising the was always our Aim but counseling was her gift!

Grandma and I had our final conversation on this day! We saw each other again but this was our last fluid session of her counseling me and reminded me,She my beloved grandmother .Whether  church or not my grandmother shared many stories, laughs , sadness but most of all praise in Jesus Name!!!! Romans 8:28

Dean n YaHon Sr!  And all who knew her has grandmother!  Focus on what she wanted to us to hear and I believe was ok to share with all young people! We are going we are perfect but God, praise sometimes come easy but never stop! Your counted out at  but bring your testimony of his patience with you to help another brother or sister! Grandmother she would live even this close but what? But God! Give him praise !  Let God work on us , in  and through us . Grandmother did and so will we. Be brothers and sisters keeper ! You will realize you are being kept too! Amen
