

Paul was born in Arlington, VA and has been a resident of Vero Beach for 36 years coming from Arlington, VA.
He is a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army in the Occupation of Germany.
Prior to retirement Paul was locksmith for the Department of the Treasury Office of Security Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Washington, DC.
Paul was a member of The Body in Christ Jesus Baptist Church and The Baptist Brotherhood. He was a former member of The American Legion Post 23, Fraternal Order of Eagles in Washington, DC and The Associated Locksmiths of America, Inc.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Graciela (Grace) Toro Smith of Vero Beach, son Alan Michael (Sophia Graeber) Smith of Orlando, FL, daughter Maria (Perry Leo) Lucero Smith Laycock of Tallahassee, FL, grandsons Colin Michael Smith of Orlando, FL and Garrett James Laycock of Tallahassee, FL, granddaughter Sarah Kathleen Laycock of Tallahassee, FL and many nieces and nephews.
There will be visitation on Friday February 21, 2014 from 6-8pm at Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, FL. A funeral service will be held on Saturday February 22, 2014 at 11:00am at Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, FL. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce, FL.
