Teaching now at LN, I can't help but remember her with us in Sound Reunion (our 70s show choir) and her dedication to each piece and student.  Lovely lady and made a lasting impression on every one of us.  Blessings. ---se.

So sorry to hear of Mrs. Palmer's passing. She was my music teacher at Harrison Hill (1964-68). I remember well her pushing the piano into our classroom for Music Class each week...Oh how I looked forward to that day!! I also remember the tricks she taught us in order to remember what composer wrote which composition for the Music Memory test...I still have my certificate! 
I have thought of you often, Mrs. Palmer....many good & happy memories. Several of the songs we sang in your class pop into my head once in a while.
Now it is time for you to rest easy. You will be missed.

Mrs. Palmer was a great teacher and great inspiration. My love of music and performance began with her at Harrison Hill. I still remember her musical version of the Pledge of Allegiance that we sang every time we had music class- be it in the music room or when she arrived in our classroom with her piano on a cart.

Loved her at Harrison Hill. I would be later became a competitive ballroom dancer after college. So many shows during school and college! I will never forget her.

Funny, I thought of her often. She was such a great teacher.

She was my music teacher in the late 50s and early 60s at Harrison Hill Elementary.  I sang in her "special" choirs and was in the Music Memory program. I still remember the little ditties she taught us so we could remember the musical themes.  My mother sang in her "Mothers' Chorus" which performed at PTA meetings! I continue to sing, 50-some years later, and attribute my love of all kinds of music to her.  She is certainly in the angel choir in Heaven.

I was just telling my 23 year old daughter about Mrs. Palmer the other day.  I always loved her class and the fun shows we did at Harrison Hill Elementary.  She was a very special lady.

I had Mr Palmer all through grade school at Harrison hill. She taught me how to play piano by ear. And learn many other instruments.She also included me in the singing parts of our school musicals.If I had not met her I would not have become the musician I am today. She was a great inspiration to me to learn music and gain confidence in my music. And I must confess. I had a crush on her in grade school.I gave her a kiss everyday we played together. She was a like second Mom for me at school and help me get through things. An angel has now gone to heaven. All my thanks and prayers.May God show you your place at the his right hand.

Mrs Palmer was my music teacher at Harrison Hill. I always got excited when she " pushed" her piano into our classroom. This brilliant lady gave me private piano lessons for 10 years and to this day I still play piano. RIP Mrs Palmer

Mrs. Palmer was the reason I started studying piano while in high school at Lawrence North. She was such a blessing to know.

What a precious memory!  My favorite class, and later my favorite "hobby", was music and it all began with Mrs. Palmer.  I can still remember anxiously waiting for her to arrive in the classroom (back in the day when there was no music room).  She would push her upright piano into the classroom and the fun would begin!  Favorite song?  Harrison Hill's school song!  Wish I could be absolutely sure of the lyrics today, but I sing my version of it to the children I work with! She was an encourager of all things musical and gave of herself to make sure we all discovered our inner talents....

Even after all these years (born 1955), I still think fondly of her and have wondered how she was doing.  You will be missed....

Mrs. Palmer was my music teacher at Harrison Hill! She was a great teacher, and person. She will be missed. My prayers aew with her family.

I have always remembered the joy of music she taught us at Harrison Hill all those years ago. She was a gem and I wish her family peace.

She was the music teacher for myself and siblings at Harrison Hill. Warm memories of her and the year we did Pinocchio. Remember her on Wheel of Fortune...so much fun.

I worked with Phyllis at LN until she retired. She was a great musician, arranger, and a wonderful fun-loving person. She will certainly be missed.

You shared your love of music with so many including the kids at Harrison Hill Elementary. I have very fond memories of those days and the music you taught us. I will always remember your creativity, electric piano and boundless energy. Thank you for the wonderful musical memories. Rest in Peace.
