Cecilia Katharine Schwartz

Cecile, as she was known to most, passed away peacefully surrounded by her closest loved ones. She shared many laughs, hugs and tears right until the very end. She said she needed to join Elmer, the love of her life, on vacation. He left March of 2016 and was growing impatient. Daddy would have enjoyed the joke.

Cecile is survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; son, Todd Schwartz and Louise Folk; son, Brad Schwartz and Donna Schwartz plus their children and grandchildren; Nicole and Adam Putz (Owen and Zoey), Jennifer and Braeden Ferch (Leo and Finn), Natalie Schwartz and Yianni Cabylis (Enzo), Anthony Schwartz and Annika Mcleod; daughter, Janelle Schwartz and son (Ryan Bennett).

We will miss Grandma Cecile’s infectious laughter, her lovely voice, her beautiful flower garden and her great hugs. She shared her love of music and sports with her children and grandchildren. Some of her happiest moments were spent at the kids tournaments and concerts. Cecile also had a great love of reading and learning. Some of her best friends were made while working at the Regina Public Library.

A Come and Go Tea celebrating Cecile was held on Sunday, February 19, from 2-4 pm at Wascana Place, 2900 Wascana Drive.
