

He was predeceased by his dad, Earl Joseph Harmen and his mother, Elma Harmen.
Dave is survived by his wife of 46 year’s, Arlene; son Fabian, daughter in-law Shari Wallace, his sister Sheila, nephews Kevin and Tim Parisian, niece Terrina Gilberts; grand kids, Darien Taylor Holmes, Tandia Wallace-Hawkins and Meeya Wallace-Sparvier. Dave’s infectious laugh, masterful skills, and boundless love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Dave’s life was an extraordinary journey filled with laughter, love, and creativity. Born in 1949, Dave’s path was one of boundless talent and generosity. A skilled taxidermist, painter, and hunter, he approached everything he did with dedication and an eye for beauty. Whether he was preserving nature’s wonders or brightening a business with his artistry, Dave’s work was a testament to his passion.
Dave’s love story with Arlene began in 1979 and from that moment, they were inseparable. Their 46-year marriage was a testament to partnership and devotion, filled with shared laughter and adventures. Together, they raised their son Fabian and built a life centered on love and family.
An avid outdoorsman, Dave loved hunting and ice fishing, often transforming his shed into a warm sanctuary during the cold winter months. But it wasn’t just his skills that made him unforgettable; it was his charisma. Dave’s cheeky jokes and unforgettable smile could light up any room, and his jive moves on the dance floor left everyone in awe. With a guitar in hand, he could captivate a crowd, his music weaving memories and laughter into the fabric of his life.
Dave’s legacy lives on through his wife, son, sister and extended family, as well as through the countless lives he touched. His presence was larger than life, and his memory will forever be cherished.
Dave’s essence remains—a reminder to laugh often, love deeply, and live fully, just as he did.
In honouring Dave's wishes a private funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 in Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan. The cremation took place on Monday, January 20, 2025 with Tubman Funeral Home/Valley Crematorium.
