David Glen Tanner

Dave was born on July 18, 1968 and passed away on March 4, 2025 at the age of 56 years. He had numerous children and grandchildren that he was very proud of.

We will remember him for the adventurous spirit he had, the fire bug that he was, the dad humor and most of all the DAD lectures. He taught us a lot about nature, fishing, hunting, atv-ing, motorbiking and other life skills.

Dave served as a First Nations Police Officer for 26 years. He had the privilege of working for Stl’Atl’Imx Tribal Police Service in Mount Currie, BC from 1996 to 2001, File Hills Police Service in Okanese, SK from 2001 to 2006 and at Lac Seul Police Service in French Man’s Head, ON from 2006 to 2019 when he retired. He was very proud to serve these communities and loved to learn about the people he served.
