Howard Rand "Chico" Norton

Rand was born in Balcarres, Saskatchewan, where he grew up on the family farm.

He lived life to the fullest enjoying his time playing hockey, team penning, roping, hunting, trapping, family, friends, holidays in Zihuatanejo with Toni and watching his favourite sports teams: Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Blue Jays and Saskatchewan Roughriders.

His personality was larger than life, always kind and charismatic, with an amazing sense of humour. His greatest love was his family and large circle of friends.

Rand will be missed by his wife Toni; children: Krista, Jaclyn and Jason (Jenn); grandchildren: Rylee, Sophia, Austin, Londyn, Jazzelle and Jakobe; brothers Terry (Debbie) and Larry (Corinna); sisters Shelly (Gord) and Marsha (Don) and their families, as well as numerous friends.

Rand was predeceased by his parents Doug and Bunny and mother-in-law Lyn.

A Celebration of Rand's Life will be held in the Balcarres Lions Hall, Balcarres, Saskatchewan, on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.

The family would like to thank Dr. lqbal and the nursing staff of the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic for their care.
