The funeral service for the late Joy Emily Annie Goff of Lipton, Saskatchewan who died at Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan on September 23, 2002 at the age of 77 was held in the Lipton Community Hall, Lipton on September 26, 2002 with Rev. George S. Archer officiating. Interment followed in Lipton Memorial Gardens, Lipton, Saskatchewan. The pallbearers were Don Wesa, Roger Miller, Ken Michelson, Art Seel, Peter Modderman and Marvin Fisher. The family considered all those in attendance as honorary pallbearers.
Joy was born in the Headlands district of Saskatchewan on October 3, 1924, daughter of Horace and Alice (Hall) Nevard.
Predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Roy Nevard in 2001 and Donald Nevard in July of 2002, Joy is survived by her husband, Les and three sons: Ralph Goff, Lipton; David (Mary) Goff and their sons, Thomas and Dylan, Dysart; and Bruce (Laurie) Goff and their daughter, Marianne, Lipton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to Keith Hawken of Tubman Cremation and Funeral Services, Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan, Canada.
