

Ivy Lindsay, widow of William Lindsay, Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask., died on December 3, 2005 at the age of 87 years. The funeral service was held in St. John's Anglican Church, Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask., on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Nevett officiating. Interment followed in the Lakeview Cemetery, Fort Qu'Appelle.
Ivy was born on July 25, 1918 in Bishop Auckland, England and also received her education there. When she moved to Canada, she spent most of her life in Crows nest, Fort San and Fort Qu’Appelle. She worked as a nurse’s aid at Fort San from the early 1950’s until it closed and then worked in Echo Lodge until she retired in 1983 and moved into Fort Qu’Appelle. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, flower gardening, cooking and cleaning.
Ivy was predeceased by her husband in 1983; son William Lindsay in 1981 and grandson David Lindsay in 1997. She is survived by her son Stan Lindsay, Fort Qu'Appelle, Sk.; grandsons: Kenneth (Sheri) Lindsay, Beaumont, AB. and their children (great granddaughters) Alexis and Juliana and Bill (Krista) Lindsay and their son (great grandson) Nolan; daughters-in-law Celia Lindsay, Prince George, B.C. and Phyllis Lindsay, Edmonton, AB.
