Norman Hector

The funeral mass will be con-celebrated in Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church, Fort Qu’Appelle, SK on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Louis Kim Nguyen and Rev. Glen Zimmer OMI.

Cremation with interment in Lakeview Cemetery.

Norm was predeceased by his parents Adam and Elizabeth Hector; his wife Frances Hector and one sister-in-law, Jeanette Weston.

He is survived by his close friend Evelyn Chubak; his children: Darcy (Tim) Taylor and their son Landon; Deanna (Kevin) Hollerbaum and their children Mercedes (Owen) and Tanner (Dakota); Darren (Susan Nurse) Hector and their children Eleanor and Virginia; one brother Arthur (Audrey) Hector, one sister Geraldine (Mark) Mc Dermott, sister-in-law Rita (Stan) Macknak; brother-in-law Ray (Christine) Reyda and numerous nieces and nephews.

Norm was born on the farm in the Kronsberg District (Dysart) on September 12, 1930. He married Frances Reyda in 1960 and they moved to Regina, where he worked in the window and door industry for most of his life. In 1990 they moved to Pasqua Lake and Norm worked with his son-in-law and never did retire. His passions were dancing, especially with Evelyn. He loved spending time at the hockey rink, either watching a game or goal judging. One of his biggest joys were his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with them and took great pride in their accomplishments.
