Peter was born in the Kelliher District, Saskatchewan on January 25, 1934.
He was predeceased by his wife Jean (Lawrence); his parents Paul and Victoria Babiak; sister and brother-in-law Mary (Bill) Bespalko; sister and brother-in-law Stella (Nick) Petras and brother-in-law Frank Fazakas.
He is survived by his sister Helen Fazakas; step-children: Gordon (Judy) Fazakas, Bonnie (Hans) Hoksbergen, Brian (Wanda) Fazakas, Carol (Ernie) Hugie and Clifford Fazakas and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held in the Legion Hall, Kelliher, Saskatchewan on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Sister Theresa Feist officiating. The interment was held in the St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Kelliher, Saskatchewan, followed by a reception in the Legion Hall.
